Functional Movements

Research shows that practising functional movements is effective for improving ability to complete a task as they are meaningful and specific.

Tasks may be broken down into parts with the therapist helping to guide and support to facilitate practice. Any task can be practised such as moving on the bed, getting on and off the floor, climbing the stairs and reaching into kitchen cupboards.
